Tourist organization of the municipality of Ruma was founded in 2011. in order to promote and develop tourism in Ruma and Srem region. During that year it was announced it will take care of Sheltered habitat "Bara Trskovaca" which was not usual in Serbia and it was an interesting challenge. At the same time with those two activities, TOM Ruma is involved with education, culture, rural development, sports and providing support to all those who are interested in promoting our municipality.

The temple of the assembly of Serbian saints is the youngest temple of the Serbian ortodox church in Ruma. The place for the temple is consecrated 2004. Services started February 2011. Besides temple glory, when there are two day festivities with cultural and art program in the parish is celebrated the holiday of Venerable Sisoje the Great as a protector of the youth. This church distinguishes itself from all others in Ruma for its red facade, the same as in Zica and Pec.
Rest area and lake Borkovac is an oasis and it is located only 2 kilometers from Ruma center, in the center of Srem. Rest area is ideal for visitors, sports and recreation because of its track trim and walking areas. Here you can also visit the hotel Borkovac, also known as a hotel between the pine trees, it includes pool, spa, massages, restaurant and it is highly rated.
Cultural center is an object for representation, an ornament of the old city center, pivot of the cultural and fun events. It has a huge theater hall with 704 seats, small cinema with 260 seats, big hall suitable for different kind of events and meeting room.
First Serbian reding room in Ruma was established in 1861. First public library was established after the WW2 in 1949. City library is the oldest cultural institution in Ruma. It has over 95000 books, it has 4 different departments: adults, kids, science and hometown publications about Ruma.
Native museum of Ruma is a treasury of historical riches of people that live there. There are 10000 exhibits in the museum. Native museum was founded in 1962. It is located in the building that was established in 1772. by Baron Marko Pejacevic to be used as grammar school. The building is an unique example of "border architecture" and it is under the protection of the state.
Construction of the chamber was started in 1909. Croatian falcon association bought a land for construction of the place where all sports societies that existed in Ruma. It was built by contributions from inside the country, but also from abroda and it was finished in 1914. When it was finished cultural and sports associations from Ruma gathered there. During the war it was used as a hospital.
