Rest area Borkovac
The picnic area and lake Borkovac is a real oasis, it is located only 2 kilometers from the center of Ruma. It is ideal for visitors, sportsmen and recreationists, it is surrounded by organized trim tracks and promenade of trees. There is also a hotel within the picnic area "Borkovac", also known as "hotel among the pines", it is exceptionaly rated by guests, it offers swimming pool, spa, massages, indoor and outdoor restaurant are with a beautiful terrace surrounded by a pine forest. In the immediate vicinity there is an outdoor olympic size swimming pool and organized swimming school and various water games during summer months.
There is an artificial lake near the swimming pool and the hotel, it was created in the 1970s, on stream Borkovac, one of the three streams that flow from Fruska Gora to Ruma. The dam is 209 meters wide and 11 meters in the air. The stream started to became blue colored. Today, the lake is 300 meters wide and 2,5 kilometers long. As the water level rose, various types of fish have multiplied.
